I did reload the sampler quilt and add a line of echoing in the border. I like it better now.

  6. i really like the difference that one line makes. when i first looked at the finished border yesterday i was thinking that loads of parallel lines drawn perpendicularly to the edge of the quilt were what was needed. whew! your solution was much simpler and looks like it worked better than mine would have too!
