I’m a simple woman…at least that what my DH (Dear Husband) used to say about me…I was a wife, I am now a widow, mother, step-mother & step-grandmother, quilter, and have a full time job in criminal justice. I lost my DH on May 22nd, 2011. I live in a small town in Texas. I love piecing quilts, I love quilting quilts. I have a serious addiction to fabric. I’ve been quilting since 1998, and purchased my first longarm, a Gammill Premier, in 2004. I upgraded to an A-1 Elite, named Corky, in March, 2007. I am in the process of rebuilding my life after losing my spouse. All photos and content in this blog are my own, and I request that you not download, copy or otherwise use anything here without my permission. I hope you enjoy visiting my blog and would love to hear your comments. Thanks for stopping by!

My Dad decided to make pomegranate juice … and didn’t put the top on the blender! Had to paint the kitchen ceiling three times to get rid of the stains! LOL

My mom is a huge fan of these and over the weekend she introduced my little ones and they are now addicts so we had to buy one and will probably cut it open tomorrow. I enjoy them on salads but on last Sunday’s Iron Chef, they used them a lot in battle squash, it got me thinking… 🙂

My soul food for you today….
18And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him
And thankyou for that glorious pomegranate picture.
I knew there was a fruit tree I wanted to buy……that is it.
Please if you think of Austrlia pray for our drought to end and the rain we got a few days ago to come back and be regular, so we can plant our trees again.

My boys just love pomegranates! I love the color of the fruit itself…the inside and the outside…not particularly fond of the fruit itself…the juice is very nice but not the ‘seeds’…too small can’t sink your teeth into them…
