Here We Go Again

Greg developed another pneumocephalus. The patch between the brain and ethmoid sinus is not holding. His condition became critical yesterday afternoon, but he is stable now. CT showed this pocket getting larger. He will have another craniotomy in the morning to repair the patch. The surgeon is still optimistic. And that is where we are at right now. He is not even really aware of what is happening. Hopefully, my next post will be good news.

  1. Oh Randi, I keep thinking that when I see a post from you it’s going to be good news, and I’m sure you keep hoping the same. I hope you are taking care of yourself, too, and getting plenty of rest. Best wishes and lots of hugs.

  2. This must be very frightening for you, thank heavens Greg has no idea. As the surgeon is optimistic, so should you be, he knows what he’s talking about (even if we can only have a slight understanding of it all).
Take care, be strong and get enough rest to look after yourself as I bet whilst all the attention has been on him, it hasn’t been doing you much good.
    Take care,
    With Love,
    Sally

  11. Randi, I’ve been reading about your ordeal on MQR and just wanted to say that I hope your husband is on the mend soon. As a nurse I can fully understand what you are all going through, it sounds like he’s had everything that could possibly go wrong happen to him. I hope he heals soon and you can be home again with this just a bad memory. Take care.
