I feel like I’m neglecting my blog lately, but I have been so BUSY! I took in three customer tops this week, plus I’m still working on my cousin’s quilt, my starry log cabin, and I’m trying to finish a UFO for the September UFO challenge. In between that, I’m putting in eight hours a day at my day job, going to my son’s fall golf tournaments, cleaning house, working on my minor remodeling projects, cooking dinners, doing laundry, taking care of the pets….hmmm…you get the picture… :-). So, if I’m a little quieter than usual, you know why! I’m working on a cute lap quilt for the local guild president. It’s made from adorable fabrics and it’s the sample for a retreat they are having the first weekend in October. I’m doing a cute, fun, freehand overall on it with Rainbows thread. Here’s a little peek.
Busy as a Bee

I’m a simple woman…at least that what my DH (Dear Husband) used to say about me…I was a wife, I am now a widow, mother, step-mother & step-grandmother, quilter, and have a full time job in criminal justice. I lost my DH on May 22nd, 2011. I live in a small town in Texas. I love piecing quilts, I love quilting quilts. I have a serious addiction to fabric. I’ve been quilting since 1998, and purchased my first longarm, a Gammill Premier, in 2004. I upgraded to an A-1 Elite, named Corky, in March, 2007. I am in the process of rebuilding my life after losing my spouse. All photos and content in this blog are my own, and I request that you not download, copy or otherwise use anything here without my permission. Wow, you are busy! What a treat to go to your studio to do such happy quilting. That’s a really cute quilting motif.
I had to take a nap after reading about how busy you are in your life! 😉 I do not know how you do it!.
I like the quilt’s bright cheery colors and also the quilting.
Don’t forget to take your vitamins, Wonder Woman! 🙂

Reading your entry made me tired! What cute quilting…so bright and happy.
Thanks everyone! Terri, I will post more pics after the retreat has come and gone. It’s pretty much just more of the same, but allover :-). I hope to deliver it to it’s owner after work today. And I hope she is as happy with it as I am.
I think the quilt is cute and I love what you’re quilting on it. It’s very light and happy.
I am in awe of all you do! When do you rest?
