quilting

Quiet Sunday

It has been so hectic here the past week. Efren and I have been preoccupied with a new business venture we are undertaking. We bought out the company where he has worked the last three years, and are going to give it our best to make a good go of it.

Slowing things down a bit today. Because this is happening.

Drinking some Thieves oil tea for that stuffy, achy headed, sore throat crud going around. Ugh. I love this tea. Honey, thieves, frankincense, lemon and peppermint oils. Yes, I’m an oiler and Young Living is my preferred brand.  Use them every day.

I did manage to whip up a couple very simple mug mats to protect to top of our new coffee table. Made from some old four patch blocks that have been sitting in my stash, leftover from when I was making a quilt for my mom, and with 5″ squares I had cut from scraps I had leftover as I worked on another past quilt, and batting scraps. Will put a few more together later. I knew those leftovers would come in handy someday. That day was today. 😊
