We’re off to see the Wizard!

Finally!  This one took me way too long.  It was really a challenge for me.  It’s for a customer and will be a Christmas gift to one of her granddaughters.

The little girl’s nickname is Butterfly, so I stenciled butterflies in the border and connected them with swirls.

The back shows how much stitching there really is.

I hope she likes it!  I have another finish to report, but I’m saving that for tomorrow’s post.  See you then!

  1. Very nice quilting Randi! The quilt, though, reminds me of how much the Wizard of Oz has always creeped me out. I would not have been able to quilt that one.

  5. Beautifully done, Randi! Quilts such as these tend to leave me a bit befuddled :), but you’ve done a wonderfully creative job on this top. It looks like a really intense bout of quilting.
    Grandma should be delighted.

  6. Randi, your quilting choices turned this from so-so to excellent. I bet Grandma loves it and little Butterfly will be delighted when she sees all the butterflies and the other fun motifs you’ve put into the quilt (stones, wind swirls, etc).

  7. Hi Randi, I didn’t know how else to contact you. I came across this website and I actually have started to make this quilt for my husband for Christmas and only have the borders left to add. I was just curious as to how much it would cost to have it quilt like the one you have pictured.
    Thanks Tina

Tina, thank you for your inquiry. I have sent you a private email.

    1. Hi Eileen…I tried to respond to you privately, via email, but it bounced back to me as an invalid address. I have varying prices for different levels of custom. I’d be happy to discuss specifics, privately, if you would like. Thank you for your nice comment! And your inquiry.
